I’m Luis Carlos Rubino de Oliveira, a UX researcher with a PhD from Loughborough University. Originally from Brazil and now living in the UK since 2009, I bring an international perspective to my work and research practice.

For more than ten years, I’ve helped teams design better products and services by grounding decisions in solid evidence. I balance academic depth with hands-on delivery, running discovery and evaluative research that leads to clearer strategies, better experiences, and real business impact.

I’ve worked with organisations including Lloyds Banking Group, the Department for Education, and West Midlands Fire Service. I’m particularly enthusiastic about mentoring researchers and experimenting with AI as a way to speed up analysis and unlock new kinds of insight.

I’m experienced in mixed-method research, workshop facilitation, service mapping, and tools such as Dovetail, Figma, UserZoom/UserTesting, Maze, and Qualtrics.
